Gastronomic tourism is an effective tool for promoting countries and regions in the tourism market as it can provide a steady flow of tourists regardless of the season, and therefore money in regional business.
The Association of cultural and gastronomic tourism is engaged in the implementation of complex projects, connecting industry stakeholders in the regions of Russia.
“Taste of Russia” is the joint name of the Association’s regional projects for the territorial branding.
The basis of gastronomic tourism is a product, i.e. a gastronomic brand (territorially identified). The gastronomic brand is one of the resources that can attract tourists to the region, and thus strengthen the regional economy.
Gastronomic tourism is the locomotive of domestic and incoming tourism development in Russia. That is why the Association advocates that gastronomic tourism should become a priority national project.
