On March 25, the second lecture of the author’s course on gastronomic tourism by Irina Klimkina and Margarita Polonik was held for third-year students of the Agricultural Tourism Department of the Russian State Agrarian University – the Moscow Agricultural Academy named after K.A. Timiryazev. The course of lectures is organized in the framework of cooperation between the Timiryazev Academy and the Association of Cultural and Gastronomic Tourism.
From the lecture, future specialists of the new direction of the tourism industry learned how gastronomic tourism is developing in the world, which international organizations contribute to the promotion of gastrotourism routes, which products become gastronomic brands and what practices exist in the world in the protection of specialties.
According to the results of the course, students will receive not only up-to-date information on the development of the gastrotourism industry, but also become participants in the creation of a gastronomic brand. So, in the final of the program, students of the Moscow Agricultural Academy. K.A. Timiryazeva will develop concepts of gastronomic tours in Russia, the best of which are then implemented by Travel Hunter.
