On February 21, the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation held a round table “Actual issues of protection of the rights of air passengers” on issues related to the violation of the rights of air passengers, as well as ways to protect them. The event was organized by the Commission of the PC of the Russian Federation on public control and interaction with public councils.
During the discussion, the President of the Association Margarita Polonik expressed the opinion that Russian airlines need to be more customer-oriented. “It is not enough to write a thick rule book and hope that everyone will follow them. We need to work with representatives of the airlines at the counters so that they can always explain the nuances of transportation for passengers. In addition, airline websites can become more visualized – so every passenger, when buying a ticket, will pay attention to what their baggage should look like, ” the expert suggested.
