The UNWTO 40th plenary session of affiliate members closed in Iran

From 12 to 14 November, a congress of affiliated members of the UNWTO was held in Hamadan Province (Iran), during which representatives of the tourism industry from more than 20 countries discussed the prospects for the development of cultural tourism and the introduction of innovative technologies in tourism products.

At the jubilee plenary meeting of the UNWTO, Russia was represented by Travel Hunter, a member of the Association of Cultural-Gastronomic Tourism. On the agenda were the results of the activities of UNWTO and its affiliated members in 2018, an action plan for 2019, including initiatives in the educational, cultural, social, environmental and other fields. The projects in the direction of gastronomic tourism presented by Travel Hunter were discussed separately.

The next plenary meeting will be held next year in the framework of the 23rd session of the UNWTO General Assembly in St. Petersburg.
