Hockey player, Olympic champion and State Duma deputy Vyacheslav Fetisov became the ambassador of the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). The official appointment to this position took place at the headquarters in Madrid.
According to UNWTO Secretary General Zurab Pololikashvili, the upcoming conference on sports and tourism is planned to be held in the framework of the next UNWTO General Assembly, which will be held in St. Petersburg in October 2019. “No one has done this before,” he added.
